The Southern Highlands
The beautiful Southern Highlands region lies to the southwest of Sydney on top of the escarpment overlooking the South Coast. The region enjoys four distinct seasons and stunning scenery ranging from native wilderness to cool misty pastures reminiscent of England, to hidden valleys with remarkable waterfalls. All this and only 2 hours away from Sydney! There are many reasons why you should visit the Southern Highlands aside from its rolling green farmscapes and rugged natural beauty. There are historic villages, superb gardens and special events like the Tulip Festival held in late September when many gardens are open for display.. More »
The Corner Country
The Corner Country of outback New South Wales lies to the north and west of Broken Hill. It follows the rugged Barrier Ranges towards Tibooburra, sweeps west across the Mundi Mundi plain and merges with the sand dunes of the Simpson Strzelecki Dunefields, where it is bordered by the Wild Dog Fence. With vast and often rugged landscapes of desert ranges, gibber plains, mesas and dune fields, the area provides habitat for many native animals and birds. Rain can spectacularly transform the Corner Country and create carpets of spring wildflower colour, and happily, this has happened regularly since the ten-year drought broke at the beginning of 2009. The Corner Country is famously known for having the most remote communities in the state, Milparinka and Tibooburra, as well as Cameron Corner.. More »

The Barossa Valley
To many throughout the world, it must seem unfair that – in addition to having beautiful beaches and scenery, a warm hospitable climate and adorable fuzzy animals with pouches, Australia also has the best wines. In any country where reds or whites are appreciated, you are bound to encounter Aussie wines proudly adorning the shelves of the best shops, or prominently listed on the menus in fine restaurants. The reason – our wines are truly special. And many of the best Australian wines call The Barossa Valley home. The Barossa Valley is made up of several small towns, villages, and hamlets, each with their own unique character and historical significance. More »

Awesome place to visit for a relaxing getaway. The house is great especially for families, had everything we needed and more. It was nice to smell the fresh air, overlook the mountains and hear nothing but nature. Bev & Adrian were just great. Thanks....
What a delitefull place to stay,Villa Merlot is close to wineries and other ammenities. The villa it self was like a home away from home. The hosts Nick and Peita were very helpful and sent us an info pack on things to do.We will definately be staying there again. This is a great secret hideaway..
We arrived late in the evening with our 2 young children unsure what to expect. We were so thankful with the apartment, it had everything we needed for our 'home away from home' I had no need for concern. The staff were so friendly and accomodating and helped us with whatever we needed. The pools were great and it was tranquil. An excellent place to host a family on holidays!.
There was plenty of space in the rooms and a plentiful supply of crockery, linen etc. We were close to a main road and bus stop and there were many places to enjoy a meal within about a 20 minute walk..
What a great place to stay! The way a beach house should feel. Really close to the beach. Kid friendly and even dog friendly. Bright and comfortable, loved it!.
Binalong Coastal Waters is a beautiful quality home where great care has been taken to make guests feel welcome. Not only are all the basics tasteful and inviting. There are also all sorts of special extras from the herb rack and Stephanie Alexander cookbook to the well stocked DVD and video drawer and library shelf. Magnificent views, best enjoyed relaxing on the generous deck. I could go on....we'll be back for sure!.
We have never stayed anywhere where the attention to detail was so profound, absolutely sensational - from the manicured surrounds to the add ons (videos, cd's kids games etc) A fabulously appointed cottage in a wonderful part of the world - we loved every minute of our stay. well done.
It was lovely but as 2 familes each with 2 children we were very disappointed when we discovered it was only 3 bedrooms and not the advertised 4 bedrooms (I think they had a another bedroom tacked on the back but that is no use when you have small children.) I wouldn't stay there again for that reason. Apart from that it was really lovely. .
Great place for kids. Loved the trampoline out the back and the DVDs available for rainy days. The house itself is a delight and obviously close to the main beaches and attractions..
